Dreams DO come true! After months of speculation and crossed fingers, Collider has reported that the MPAA has officially rated the Hellboy reboot as R. Not only that, but for “Strong Bloody Violence and Gore Throughout and Some Language.” I’m sure it was the Language that did it.

But seriously, I am really happy with this news. We had all really hoped that the Mike Mignola co-written production would lean more into Big Red’s horror roots, and this rating all but confirms that.

We still have to wait until April 12th to see just how the David Harbour-starring reboot fares at the box office and with fans, but this news is a big step in the right direction.

But what do Y’ALL think? Are you excited for this reboot? Do you like Neil Marshall? Just HOW underrated is his movie Doomsday? Let us know in the comments below.
